HandheldQuest publishes specs, comparisons, review summaries, news and guides about gaming handhelds.
We don’t test hardware
We don’t own a lab and we don’t review devices ourselves. Findings about performance, battery life, heat, noise or comfort come from published reviews and video tests, and each one names the outlet or channel, the title and the date, with a link.
Where the facts come from
- Specs come from the manufacturer’s product page, spec sheet, store listing or press release. Every value on a spec page links to its source and shows the date we checked it. If a maker hasn’t published a figure, we show it as unknown. We never fill gaps with estimates.
- Reported specs from a named outlet, used when the maker hasn’t published a figure, are marked as reported.
- Prices are regular list prices from the maker’s store or announcement, with the source and date. We don’t list sale prices as regular prices, and we don’t publish Amazon prices.
- Review findings are summarised in our own words with short quotes only when the wording matters.
- Guides and tutorials cite the official support page, documentation, video or community thread each step or setting comes from.
Rumors and leaks
Unconfirmed information is tagged as a rumor or leak, names the original source and links to it. We don’t re-host leaked images. When a maker confirms or denies a rumor, we update the article.
Images
Product images come from manufacturers’ press kits, product pages and official videos, and are credited to the manufacturer. We don’t add our own watermark to them.
Independence and money
HandheldQuest may earn commissions from some shop links in the future; the affiliate disclosure explains how. Commissions don’t affect which handhelds we cover, how we describe them or where they appear. We don’t accept payment for coverage or sponsored articles.
Comparisons and pages we choose to publish
We write comparison pages for handhelds people actually choose between, not for every possible pair. Each comparison and guide has its own analysis.
Updates and corrections
Articles show when they were first published and when facts in them last changed. Spec pages show when each value was checked. If we get something wrong, we fix it as described on the corrections page.
