Blaze Entertainment has delayed THEC64 Handheld and The Spectrum Handheld from October 15, 2026 to April 22, 2027. The company announced the change on September 29, saying parts of the product construction were not meeting its standards.
The delay covers both the standard and Collector’s Editions. Blaze hasn’t said which part of the build fell short.
Prices stay the same
| Edition | UK | US | EU |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | £109.99 | $129.99 | €129.99 |
| Collector’s Edition (Funstock exclusive, 2,000 units each) | £129.99 | $149.99 | €149.99 |
Both are clamshell handhelds with a 4.3-inch 840×480 IPS screen, built around the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum libraries.
Evercade Nexus isn’t affected
Blaze’s other handheld, the Evercade Nexus, keeps its October 30, 2026 date. It has a 5.3-inch screen and costs £169.99, $199.99 or €199.99.
All three are on our release calendar, which we update when dates move.
